Which Vegetables Grow Well in Hobby Greenhouses?

Greenhouses, once used for commercial cultivation, have become increasingly popular with hobby growers. By growing vegetables in your own greenhouse, you can enjoy vegetables that are often limited by season or outdoors. A greenhouse can extend the growth period of plants over conventional open field cultivation. In other words, in traditional agriculture, products such as tomatoes grown in summer can also be grown in greenhouses in cold weather and in winter. Moreover, some vegetables may perform even better than others in a greenhouse setting.

Almost any type of pepper can grow well in a greenhouse setting. You can apply many varieties in your greenhouse, including pointed, stuffed and jalapenos.

Plant the pepper seedling at a depth of soil that has already been opened and the seedling root can enter. If you are going to plant the pepper as seeds, plant it approximately 1-2 cm deep into the soil. The peppers should be spaced approximately 40 cm apart and at the same time temperatures of 15ºC and above should be provided for the development of their pollen.

Tomatoes need a temperature of at least 15 ºC to develop their pollen. Tomatoes perform well in the greenhouse as development. You can achieve maturation in an average of 100 days after planting.

Plant the tomato seedling at a depth of soil that has already been opened and the seedling root can enter. If you are going to plant the tomato as a seed, plant it approximately 1-2 cm deep into the soil. Make the planting density in the range of about 45-50 cm. Tomatoes need sunlight at the stage of development; so place them in a greenhouse area that gets plenty of sunlight.
