Stating that the Union supported the country's exports with 99 million dollars, Gürüz stated that in April, 69.3 million dollars worth of tomatoes, 28.8 million dollars' worth of pepper exports and 28.5 million dollars' worth of lemon exports were realized.

According to Gürüz, Russia, the main importer of Turkish fruit and vegetables, increased its imports from Turkey by 25% in April, importing fresh vegetables and fruits worth 58.1 million dollars.
Romania followed Russia with 30% increase and 35.1 million dollars respectively; Ukraine followed with a 40% increase and $19.6 million.
