According to the data of the Southeastern Anatolian Exporters' Associations (GAİB), Turkey's dried nut exports in the January-March 2022 period increased by 16% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 403.25 million dollars .
Seedless raisins, which constitute a large part of the export basket of the sector, reached an export value of approximately 98.94 million dollars in the first quarter.
It was followed by dried apricots with $91.63 million , pistachios with $ 60.79 million and dried figs with $59.75 million .
Compared to the same period of the previous year, the 66% increase in the export of pistachios drew attention.

Aegean Exporters' Associations, which exported 199.29 million dollars of nuts during this period, ranked first, followed by Southeastern Anatolian Exporters' Associations with 90.46 million dollars .
Turkey, which exports the most nuts to EU countries, exported 163.78 million dollars worth of nuts to these countries in the January-March period. Germany, the leader among these countries, purchased 56.9 million dollars from Turkey in the first quarter of the year. England is in second place with 37.65 million dollars , while Italy is in third place with 28.49 million dollars purchase.
