Blueberry (blueberry) production, which is produced on an area of approximately 200-300 hectares, is quite limited in Turkey and our annual production is at the level of 500 tons. Due to the low export figures, the product finds buyers at high prices in the domestic market. In our country, the garden exit prices of blue berry (blueberry) in 2021 have reached the level of 80 TL ($ 10).
As Turkey, we are in a very advantageous position in terms of blueberry production. If production can be made in the heated greenhouses located in the southern regions of Turkey and at high altitudes in the North, a harvest period of 9-10 months can be achieved from January to October.
At the same time, due to our experience and knowledge in the export of fresh fruits and vegetables and the location of our country, we can easily export to Russia, the Gulf Countries and the Far East markets, as well as the European market. In addition, labor costs are very low compared to our competitors in Europe such as Spain and Portugal.

As Safir Berry, we hope that we will reach 1,000 hectares of cultivated land by the end of 2023 with the Turkey Blueberry Project we have started. Our target in 5-10 years is to reach a cultivated area of over 5,000 hectares and a production of 100,000 tons of blueberry (blueberry). Its financial export potential is 500 million Euros per year. Considering the interest shown in the fairs we attended, we think that we will achieve our targets in a short time. When we achieve this, Turkey will be one of Europe's largest and the world's leading blueberry exporters.
