We are all human and we have to eat more or less in order to live. In order for every person to be able to eat healthy; deserves clean water and a balanced diet. That is the nature of being human.
The reality is that a minority of 300-500 million directly or indirectly consumes the food and drink of a majority of 3-4 billion . While the minority's fight against obesity continues intensely, the majority's upbringing with hunger continues at full speed.
As “history is written by the winners”, the obese minority decides and directs life, media, science and technology.
While what the world gives to us humans is enough to feed all humanity, a savage society like America is exploiting all the food and natural resources of the world, and the so-called developed countries of Europe continue the exploitation of the past in the future.
Realistic solutions in agriculture can be achieved by looking at the problems realistically and by acting on a system based on scientific data.
A realistic solution has many conditions. The first condition is to clearly identify the current situation and structure in agriculture with data. E.g:
- We import cotton raw material from outside
Simple solution: Support per kg of cotton increased, machine harvesting became widespread and domestic production suddenly increased.
- We buy half of the legumes such as chickpeas and beans from outside.
In Niğde, beans have entered the crop rotation instead of potatoes, 300-400 kg of dry beans can be bought per decare under irrigated conditions, but the price should not fall below 9-12 liras (price may change depending on years and conditions). The solution in chickpeas is to increase the support price like a man, because the yield is very low and anthracnose disease is very common and effective in chickpeas. To carry out intelligent and rational breeding studies to develop tall, large chickpea varieties resistant to anthracnose.
- We buy all the sesame seeds from outside.
Sesame can be grown easily in the second crop after June in the Mediterranean and Aegean regions. To keep the application base price high and to encourage it. It seems that there has been a slight increase in sesame production in the Mediterranean Region in recent years. The second method is to reduce the sesame of the bagels by 50-70% until the sesame production increases.
- Why do we fill it in big barrels and sell it abroad cheaper than water, when the weight of very valuable and healthy olive oil is approaching 40-60 TL in Turkey? How can people who buy olive oil that we sell cheaply make 10 times more money by creating an innovative brand, even though they never produce it?
- While we produce 70% or more of hazelnut production, why is the hazelnut exchange abroad and how can a company that produces chocolate from hazelnuts earn 2-3 times more than the money we earn from hazelnuts produced all over Turkey?
The only explanation to be made for hazelnut and olive oil is to develop new innovative products with high brand value within the framework of the "Designed in Turkey" logic. Time is no longer Made in Turkey, it is the era of Designed in Turkey.

- Why do we buy sunflower oil with low oil quality from Russia and sell first quality olive oil cheaply with the export leg?
The European consumes our quality olive oil, we eat the sunflower oil, which we do not know what the Russian of the hand contains. It looks just like this. You keep cows at home, you sell butter, you buy margarine and give it to children.
- Agricultural support is complete and how should it be done?
Agricultural support should be made in the form of hot money support to farmers who produce like a man. It should not be done according to the title deed for those who have uncultivated fields. It should be given to those who really care. Special support should be provided for diesel and fertilizer, which are the most basic agricultural inputs. Fertilizer and pharmaceutical companies should be prevented from increasing prices by citing the constant increase in raw materials. According to today's conditions, diesel should be sold at a cost of around 1-2 TL, 50% support should be given to fertilizers, but basic training should be given on the unnecessary use of fertilizer, fertilizer prices should be controlled and drip irrigation should be started gradually in irrigation.
In this way, we can write about agricultural problems and distortions here until the morning, we write pages full of them.
While sometimes the solutions are simple in agriculture, sometimes it contains a layered structure where there are structural problems at every stage from seed to consumption and the lack of data at every stage makes it difficult to solve the problems. It's like an endless well that gets deeper as you dig.
Our goal is not just to write down problems. Generating a solution. We will continue to produce and write solutions.
