Filters protect irrigation systems from clogging caused by organic pollutants, while allowing growers to irrigate their crops more homogeneously, resulting in better productivity, cost savings and peace of mind.

Netafim developed the AlphaDisc filter together with Amiad, a manufacturer of water purification and filtration solutions.

According to Netafim, AlphaDisc; It is top notch with precise depth filtration, significant dirt holding capacity, unique scaling in managing water quality needs at varying flow rates, and easy modular design.

Netafim says that up to 70% of the water used in agriculture comes from surface water from canals and ponds. Water from these sources may contain significant amounts of algae and other organic pollutants that increase the risk of clogging. Netafim also says climate change and increased water use are other factors affecting water quality.

For these reasons, manufacturers are increasingly in need of effective filtration that protects their irrigation systems to prevent full or partial clogging and for long-term sustainable performance.

The AlphaDisc filter and tracking system is to help growers adapt to changing conditions and stay productive through efficient use of available surface water.

  • Enhanced disc design with high-grade filtration for clogging protection
  • High filtration volume, low friction loss rates combined with higher particle capture, fewer backwash cycles
  • Modular design offers easy scalability as needs change
  • It is a cost-effective irrigation system
  • Well-designed, cost-effective vertical installation.
