Although Peru, Colombia and Kenya, the three largest avocado producers, continue to increase their production, Mexico, the world's largest avocado producer and exporter, is expected to increase its production by 5.2% in the next 10 years due to the increase in demand from the American market.
With the increasing production and demand, Mexico's share of the global avocado export market is expected to increase to 63% in 2030.
With the right investments and favorable weather conditions, Peru, Colombia and Kenya; By successfully increasing its avocado production, it managed to bring its export figures to double digits. These 3 countries realize 25% of the global avocado export.
It is expected that the production volumes of these four countries, which are currently 3.9 million tons , will reach 12 million tons in 2030 with the rapid growth in global markets, surpassing mango and pineapple and avocado will be the most traded tropical fruit.
Given the high average unit prices, the total value of world avocado exports will reach an estimated $8.3 billion, thus positioning the avocado as one of the most valuable fruits on the market.
