Low-biurea urea (46% N) is a fertilizer that dissolves completely in water and is suitable for eliminating nitrogen deficiency in plants. Its formula is (CO(NH2)2). It contains 46% urea nitrogen. Since it dissolves easily in water, it is suitable for foliar and drip irrigation application. The physical and chemical properties of low biurea urea fertilizer are as follows.

Especially if it is desired to give high doses of nitrogen from the leaves to the plants in certain periods, it is preferred that it be nitrogen in organic form without any toxic effects. In this context, the most economical resource is urea. Biurea is a by-product formed during the production of urea fertilizer and is the main factor that causes toxic effects on plants. Biurea rate in normal urea used as base fertilizer is around 1-2%. In case of foliar application of urea fertilizer containing biuret in this amount, phytotoxicity occurs in plants.
In case of low dose application, the high nitrogen rates needed by the plants in special situations cannot be given. Therefore, in cases where urea is used as foliar fertilizer and nitrogen loading is desired at high doses and can be taken quickly, the biurea rate in the urea used should be low. The nitrogen composition of low-biurea urea fertilizer is in the form of organic amines. It is a foliar fertilizer that is produced to be easily used especially in biurea sensitive plant breeding.
