Efficiency in nitrogen fertilization = more efficient use of the applied nitrogen by the plant.
Nitrogen fertilization is the most widely used method among agricultural applications, and plants can benefit from only 30-35% of the applied nitrogen. Every year, a substantial amount of nitrogen passes into the atmosphere by evaporation on the one hand, and on the other hand, it is washed away from the soil and becomes unusable by plants.
Along with the technological developments, the studies have focused on measuring the current nitrogen use efficiency and maximizing it. For this purpose, we recommend using Dash46 , a urease inhibitor fertilizer developed to increase the effectiveness of nitrogen fertilization. The urease inhibitor in Dash46 delays the hydrolysis of urea fertilizer and reduces nitrogen losses (evaporation) in the form of ammonia (NH3).

Urea Nitrogen (NH2) with NBPT inhibitor | 46 |
Urea fertilizers are prone to evaporation of nitrogen in the form of ammonia (NH3) depending on the application method of the fertilizer, soil type and environmental factors, and this loss can reach up to 50% of the total nitrogen applied. One way to reduce nitrogen loss in urea fertilizer is to reduce the hydrolysis of urea by inhibiting urease activity. Urease is an enzyme that acts as a catalyst in the hydrolysis of urea to carbon dioxide and ammonia.
With the inhibition of urease, the urea fertilizer can pass or bind to the soil without hydrolysis to NH3. In this way, it is retained by soil colloids and reduces the loss of nitrogen in gas form. NBPT [N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide] is a well-known urease inhibitor. The most important advantage of NBPT is that it can effectively inhibit urease even at low concentrations in different soil types.
