Working Principles
The plastic air release valve works in 3 modes.
- Drain Mode: A large volume of air fills the piping system as the water in the system flows at a rapid rate. When the water reaches the air discharge valve, the float of the valve moves upwards and quickly removes the air from the system by preventing the outflow of water.
- System Pressure Balancing Mode: After venting the air in the system, it balances the difference between the system pressure and the atmospheric pressure.
- Air-Water Balance Adjustment Mode: Air is collected in the piazometric lines or at the top of the valve, albeit in small amounts. This air makes the water go down together with the floater by putting a certain pressure on the water. In this position, the float of the valve is not closed completely. It adjusts the air-water balance by staying open enough to partially pass the air.
